    HOURS:                        This is not a permanent job. Consultants are used on an as-needed basis, based on solely on                                       customer demand and facilitator match to the audience. (i.e. A person may work one or ten projects                                       a year. No guaranteed assignments.)

    The Performance Innovation Institute (PII) provides performance solutions to businesses and organizations.  The experts who make up PII provide performance improvement services to the business community including private, for profit, not-for-profit, government, manufacturing, and healthcare entities.  Performance Improvement Institute provides fee based services in areas such as performance improvement consulting, customized training, succession planning, 360 management analyses, employee/customer satisfaction surveys, strategic planning, job task analysis/profiling, pre-employment assessment, coaching, project management, leadership development, and process improvement/management. 

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  A MINIMUM OF SEVEN years of PROVEN, high quality, consulting, experience. Experience consulting projects with diverse organizations including entry level to C level personnel. Background in HPT/HPI, Process Improvement, Job Task Analysis, Business Coaching (not life coaching).  The ability to present in a highly professional style while maintaining flexibility.  Professional, ethical behavior is absolutely, imperative for these positions. While all of the areas mentioned in this description will be considered, the focus is to find consultants with and HPT/HPI or similar background.

     

    PREFERENCE:  Preference will be given to applicants with ten or more years of PROVEN, high quality, experience.  A proven background in organizational systems, sales/relationship building, system’s theory and/or curriculum design will also be beneficial.

     

    MAJOR FUNCTION: The major function varies with each project. All facilitators must effectively and efficiently interact with all levels of employees within an organization, create trust-based partnerships with customers, and provide services in an extremely professional and high quality manner. If the facilitator’s background is appropriate, they may also be considered for customized training projects.

    Facilitators/Consultants will act as vendors to the College and are not considered College employees.  It is beneficial if you already have an F.E.I.D. associated with your consulting work but it is not necessary for consideration for a position.  It may be obtained at a later date.  Persons considered for these opportunities will have a dynamic presentation style, be well spoken, possess strong English writing skills, have extensive knowledge in the specified topic area, and a proven history of engagement with private, not-for-profit, and/or governmental organizations and their leadership.

     

    If you apply and are considered for an opportunity, please be prepared to complete, at a minimum, a 45 minute presentation of your work product. These positions will be considered over the next three to 12 months and therefore may not be hired immediately.

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (active clearance preferred)

    • M.S. with Significant Research Experience or Ph.D. in physics, mathematics, or engineering, or computer science with significant research and/or analysis experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or Machine Learning

    • 0-5 years direct work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or Machine Learning Research and Development

    • Superb analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills

    • Significant mathematical background in areas such as statistics, linear algebra, complex analysis, differential equations, Monte Carlo methods, or numerical methods preferred

    • Strong computation skills (Matlab or Python required, C/C++ preferred)

    • Experience working on complex research projects

    • Ability to work independently or on a team
