    Halls Chophouse, Columbia's premiere Steakhouse, is seeking a Restaurant Administrator to join the family. In order to apply, you must have a deep understanding of the restaurant industry, excellent writing and communication skills, and experience as a secretary.

    You are:

    Organized—in order to operate and facilitate the needs of Halls Chophouse, you must be thoroughly organized. You are the type of person who has a meticulous planner and is always early to events. We will rely on you to organize events, meetings, schedules and much more.

    A believer in good communication—you believe there is no such thing as over-communicating. You are not afraid to ask questions if something doesn’t look quite right; you enjoy reaching out to coworkers, partners, and clients to make sure every detail is in place.

    A clear writer—you have previous secretary experience (2-3 years) and you are comfortable taking detailed notes to distribute to your coworkers and superiors. You are able to multitask easily—balancing phone calls, emails, and daily tasks while keeping a calm and collected mind.

    Knowledgeable—you have a deep understanding of the restaurant industry. You’ve walked in the shoes of servers and hosts before—you know what they are going through on a daily basis. You also understand how the restaurant industry operates on a wider level—specifically the Columbia market. You see how big of an impact Halls Chophouse has on the region—and hope to grow it even more.

    A willing assistant—you understand along with your administrative duties, you will be called upon to assist the owners of the restaurant. No task is too small for you, as you take pride in helping the restaurant. You see the big picture while completing even the smallest of tasks. You are willing to wear many hats at one time.

    A team player—you are all about helping the good of the restaurant as a whole. You welcome any task that propels the brand forward. You are able to anticipate what the team needs and execute it. You have a stellar attitude and a steady personality.

    Tasks to expect include, but aren’t limited to:

    Answering office phone calls, taking down messages and notes

    Filing invoices, scheduling inventory, accounting work

    Scribing dictation into clear, thorough notes

    Arranging and scheduling appointments, deliveries, transportation and reservations

    Assisting managers in the hiring/onboarding process
