Fuel Oil (HVAC) Service Manager
Job Description
We have an opportunity for a motivated individual with HVAC technical experience for heating and cooling equipment with office skills to manage the service department for a growing mid-size fuel oil and propane company situated in Westchester County. This is a full-service company with liquid fuels delivery of propane and fuel oils. We are looking for someone who knows the business and wants to join a dynamic company that is growing significantly and needs someone to take us to the next level. QUALIFICATIONS
• 10 years of HVAC field experience with supervisory and management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Have a strong desire to provide excellent customer service.
• Weekends and after hours are required as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and schedule service technicians.
• Manage installations and schedule projects.
• Order major components of installation.
• Arrange subcontractors if needed.
• Review and estimate the materials and labor needed to complete repairs and installations.
• Ensure proper customer service and invoicing.
• Acquire the necessary materials and coordinate labor with dispatch for scheduling.
• Contact customers to schedule installations.
• Assist Customer Service with customer’s technical inquiries into service performed.
• Review Time Management Reports for Field Technician’s hours.
• Review management reports and key performance indicators for improvements.
• Make improvements and changes with senior approval.
• Inventory control from suppliers, store room and service vans.
• Maintain stock of HVAC parts and equipment for installations.
• Manage parts replenishment of parts used from service vans.
• Responsible for technician training and certifications.
• Maintenance of company owned tools and analyzers.
• Answer procedural and technical calls from field personnel.
• Oversee service plan, service and installation billing.
• Coordinate permitting as required.
• Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures.
