Job Description
Hamilton Juffer & Associates, llp (HJA) provides business consulting and tax services to our wide base of clients. We are seeking an accounting para-professional for part-time or full-time work to help with our growing client base. The position will focus on providing QuickBooks services to clients, which includes processing quarterly payroll reports and preparing financial statements. The role will also include income tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Experience is preferred, but we will train the right person.
The position will work directly with our clients as well as our team and staff. You will be part of a firm that provides outstanding client service and employee satisfaction.

YOUR ROLE
· Set up beginning trial balances for business clients.
· Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports.
· Help new businesses register with federal and state tax agencies.
· Respond to client questions and strengthen client relationships.
· Perform bookkeeping and create adjusting journal entries.
· Assist clients with other returns such as payroll.
· Prepare U.S. federal and state individual and business income tax returns.
· Communicate directly with partners and managers.
· Strengthen client relationships.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
· AA in accounting or similar experience.
· Experience with QuickBooks (preferred, but not required).
· Self-motivated and can meet deadline and productivity goals.
· A passion for learning and problem solving.
· Outstanding personal and communication skills.
· Team player with a collaborative attitude.
