RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for underwriting pipeline management to ensure the team is producing high quality loans at maximum efficiency, with superior customer service while maintaining service levels

• Review internal and external quality control findings to be used as training and coaching opportunities

• Maintain thorough knowledge of guidelines, policies, and procedures

• Develop and update procedural manuals and checklists

• Participate in the revision and training of Credit Risk policies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance and maximize productivity within risk parameters

• Responsible for any applicable second level reviews and loan dispositions within required timeframes

• Resolve customer related problems and loan level issues as they are escalated

• Develop and execute process improvement enhancements to increase productivity, quality, and efficiency

• Coach and counsel the direct reports and team associates for peak performance

• Implement goals and initiatives as communicated by senior management and prepare accurate and timely performance reviews

• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years of experience in residential and consumer lending

• Experience underwriting loans on the secondary market

• Knowledge of Encompass

• College Degree Preferred.

• VA/LAPP & FHA DE certified

• Experience Managing Underwriting Groups/Teams.

• Demonstrated ability to interpret guidelines and make decisions based on these interpretations.
