    Hamilton Porter is a Southern California based recruiting and talent acquisition firm that helps companies from across the US find and hire qualified candidates for their open positions. 

    We are actively partnered with a leading tax resolution firm based in Woodland Hills, CA that helps people solve their IRS tax problems. This company strives to build relationships with their thousands of customers and the IRS alike, so that they can offer representation to taxpayers with a variety of tax issues. Due to growth, our client is looking to hire a full-time Tax Manager to join their team. This tax manager will coach, mentor, and lead a team of 5 tax preparers that are charged with the day-to-day client communication and completing tax organizers for clients. The customers that are being serviced are also in need of other services such as:

    • Help with IRS tax audits
    • Filing returns such as 1040, 1065, and 1120
    • Filing past-due tax returns
    • Removing an IRS levy or federal tax lien
    • Setting up tax payment plans
    • Removing wage garnishment
    • Filing an offer in compromise

    The Tax Manager will oversee corporate and individual tax engagements and planning services. This individual will have the opportunity to have frequent and direct contact with clients, and will be involved in tax return review, planning, in-depth research, and significant client consultation.

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of professsional experience in the tax preperation and/or accounting industry
    • 2+ years of experience managing and leading teams
    • CTEC & PTIN certifications
    • Supervise the preparation of all entity-type and individual tax returns (1120S, 1120, 1065, 1041, 1040).
    • Review all returns for correctness and completeness
    • Take an active role in the staff development & education program
    • Supervise and review year-end tax planning and projection work performed by staff
    • Use tools with our clients regarding tax planning, compliance, and business improvement
    • Participate in mentoring and staff development program to accelerate your detail oriented career growth
    • Participate in the marketing and business development training system
    • Collaborate with other members of the leadership to help design and implement processes & procedures that enable operational efficiency for the business

    Compensation & Perks:

    • Competitive Annual Base Salary ($90,000 - $120,000 DOE)
