Develops Technical Risk Analysis (TRA) for | | each specification/contract during pre-contract/proposal phase. | | - - Performs process design calculations using computer tools to | | design and/or size process schemes and equipment with a focus on | | heat transfer products such as Air Cooled Steam Condensers and Urea | | to Ammonia (U2A™) product lines. | | - - Where required develops process flow diagrams (PFD) and heat and | | material balances (HMB). | | - - Participates in planning, cost development for assigned projects | | as they relate to the process engineering activities. | | - - Reviews equipment specifications generated by the project team | | during project execution. | | - - During project phase, develops detailed process design of | | equipment and is responsible for equipment integration into process | | scheme. Interfaces with discipline engineers to insure material | | compatibility, performance, operational compatibility and other | | aspects of how process design interfaces with mechanical equipment. | | - - Aids in development of purchase specifications for equipment and | | subcontracts with clearly defined vendor scope and responsibilities | | to reduce change orders. | | - - In conjunction with Instrumentation Engineers, develops P&ID's & | | control philosophies. | | - - Evaluates operating data from the field to evaluate if process | | equipment is functioning properly and recommend corrective actions, | | if necessary. This process may include field travel and | | troubleshooting. | | - - In coordination with the customer service (field engineering) | | group, directs activities to ensure that commissioning and | | operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized | | codes and standards and customer requirements. | | - - Evaluation of new technologies, process design applications | | development & maintenance, pilot plant scale up and other activities | | related to keeping existing technology up to date & bringing new | | features or technologies to market. | | - - Develops solutions to complex problems that require a high degree | | of innovation and ingenuity. | | - - Maintains effective communication with project team members and | | with clients. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
