SUMMARY:
Establish effective financial processes to control costs and maximize profits, negotiating contracts for best return, and creating effective financial reporting packages to gauge business performance. Provide counsel and advice on matters within the Controller's area of responsibility. Provide oversight and strategic direction to information technology function.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop quarterly estimates, long range financial and operational forecasts
Accumulate, analyze and report to management complete information regarding results of operations and financial condition of the company, including cash flow and investment components.
Participate in formulating and recommending accounting policy and procedure

Constantly seek ways to increase and improve participation with all departments, in the use of accounting/financial information for planning and problem solving purposes within these users' respective responsibilities.
Annually develop departmental objectives and recommend short-term and long-term plans with respect to improving the effectiveness of assigned functions. Develop overall financial plans and implement programs approved by the President. Design and direct programs to improve profit or find potential savings for the company.
Prepares, secures approval for, and implements department budget(s). Operates within those guidelines.
Ensure staff performs month-end, quarter-end and year-end process activities and accounting functions on a timely basis to prepare financial reports.
Perform special assignments as required by the President.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting required. CPA or CMA preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Eight plus years of previous relevant experience required. Minimum of three years of supervisory experience preferred. Public accounting experience is helpful.
