    Full-Time - Laundry Worker We're seeking a friendly and reliable Laundry Attendant to make sure our hotel guests are satisfied during their stay. We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic team member who enjoys working as a team. Responsibilities include washing, drying, and folding linens. You should ideally have experience with industrial washing products as well as the ability to lift 20 pounds or more on a consistent basis. Responsibilities: • Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items • Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures • Keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents • Tracking maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment • Ensuring that the facility always remains clean • Other duties as assigned by management • The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes • The worker is subject to hazards: Including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and exposure to chemicals • Kneeling: Bending legs at the knee to come to a rest on the knee or knees • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers Benefits • Special Summer Bonus program for all team members May - Sept • Medical, Dental, and Vision available depending on hours worked • Paid Time Off based on length of service and average hours worked • 7 Holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day (All Team Members are eligible for holiday benefits) • 401K program available after 1 year of employment • Go Hilton (Team Member Travel Discount) Qualifications: • At least 1 year of experience as a laundry attendant, housekeeper or similar role preferred • Must be able to lift 20 pounds on a consistent basis • Possesses a strong work ethic with exemplary organizational, time management, and communication skills • High school diploma or equivalent is advantageous • Prior experience in a similar role is preferable • Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment • Ability to stand for long periods • Basic arithmetic skills • Outstanding organizational and time management skills • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Personable disposition with a knack for customer service • Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects • Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles • Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another • Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward • Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion • Fingering: Picking, pinching, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling • Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm • Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound • Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction Compensation: $16.50 - $17.50 hourly
