    As a Software QA/Test Engineer and IT Support Specialist at HRSA you will join a small team of top technical talent passionate about delivering high-quality software and services that evolves at the fast pace of modern technology. You will be working with a team responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of workforce management systems specifically designed to meet the needs of the modern containerized shipping industry.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Participate with your team in agile scrum meetings, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives
    • Develop test plans and effectively leverage the adopted tools for tracking for all changes, including writing test cases, documentation, and change tracking
    • Test new features as required, ensuring all changes meet or exceed functional and performance requirements
    • Support stakeholders/end users with troubleshooting and or general application support as needed
    • Proactively works with team members as needed to resolve issues and meet project goals
    • Develop and maintain user manuals and process and procedure instructional materials
    • Provide end user support by effectively leveraging the Zendesk omni-channel suite for ticketing via chat, phone and e-mail
    • Communicate effectively across product, development, operations, and application security domains
    • Participate in the introduction of new capabilities and the enhancement or troubleshooting of existing capabilities

    Job Specifications

    • Working knowledge of the software development life cycle and testing methodologies
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills with the ability to interpret and decompose requirements and user stories
    • Experience with manually testing changes made to a software system
    • Ability to quickly ramp up on new technologies when encountered
    • Must be a self-starter possessing time management skills and the ability to work independently
    • Background in one or more programming languages
    • Understanding of relational databases and test data management
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
    • Experience with DevOps concepts, best practices, and operational support
    • Understanding of cloud computing concepts and fundamentals
    • 2+ years of experience as a manual tester
    • 1+ year of experience in automated testing
    • CTSE or ISTQB certifications preferred
