White plains Workers' Compensation firm looking for a hard working and well organized individual. Prior workers' compensation experience would be great.

Seeking a self-motivated Workers' Compensation Paralegal that is capable of taking a file from open to close under attorney supervision. This position requires strong work ethic, with demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and maintain client contact. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Correspond with attorneys, doctors, insurance carriers, clients and NYS Workers' Compensation Board.
• Initial intake with claimants for claims to be processed
• Review of cases to ensure case is progressing accordingly.
• Preparing documents and correspondence to be sent to carriers, NYS workers’ compensation board, doctor’s office or client.
• Obtaining medical records
• Scheduling client appointments with medical office
• Requesting hearings with the Workers' Compensation to address pending issues
