POSITION PURPOSE:
The Software Engineer is part of a fast-paced and growing team helping with today’s challenges, while preparing for tomorrow’s. This position delivers features and functionality on an innovative and proprietary application used to facilitate scheduling of field resources and claims reporting to ensure organizational agility across both web and mobile platforms. The position works with different tools and technologies while making major impacts on a small and agile team. The Software Engineer works with colleagues and technical resources to define technical solutions that meet business requirements. The position will also contribute to the on-going development of best practices, identification of suitable new tools and system and service improvements.
SCHEDULING:
Mondays thru Friday, Approximately 8:30am to 5:30pm
Schedule may vary depending on business operation needs
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform architecture and front-end design activities.
Develop new web-based software services using C# / .NET / MVC / Web API development frameworks, and maintain existing products using Microsoft technologies.
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs across browsers and devices using HTML/CSS/JS /Vue.js
Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
Ensure Hancock applications integrate with 3rd party vendor software required to deliver the required solutions to Hancock customers
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in software development in lieu of the bachelor’s degree education requirement
Solid skillset in C#, Asp.Net, Asp.Net Core, and MVC
Experience with Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Server
Extensive experience with Entity Framework and LINQ
