    We are currently in search of a Lead Esthetician looking for a long term role in a stable and positive environment!

    The Lead Esthetician at Hand & Stone Alameda will be an experienced skin therapist with extensive training from Dermalogica, with hiring preference given to those who have achieved Expert Status. ClarityRx product and protocol knowledge preferred. The Lead Esthetician will have training experience, a client following, proven retail sales success and proven ability to upgrade facial services to achieve desired results for clients as well as full time schedule availability. The Lead Esthetician will, along with the Spa Director, manage the esthetics team so that training requirements and certifications are kept up to date, protocols are followed, inventory levels are maintained, equipment is properly maintained and all state board requirements are followed in the treatment rooms and in the spa which includes but is not limited to addressing all cleaning, equipment and labeling requirements.

    As a Hand and Stone Lead Esthetician, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Overseeing and managing the Esthetics Department

    Responsible for achieving all Esthetics and Retail Sales Goals as outlined by Spa Management.

    Train, monitor and coach performance of Estheticians and Sales Associates on Esthetics business and sales specifics.

    Train, monitor and coach performance of Estheticians on all facial protocols as set by Hand & Stone Corporate, Dermalogica, ClarityRx, NuFree, NuFACE and other spa suppliers and vendors.

    Responsible for monitoring professional and retail product inventory and supply usage

    Providing excellent service to members and guests by performing top level services which build a client base and provide results clients are searching for.

    This position is a full time position expected to work 30 – 35 hours weekly at the spa including a minimum one weekend day a week and several evening shifts per week.

    Participating in offered training programs, conferences and other opportunities for professional growth

    Assist in planning skin care events and marketing activity to attract new skin care clients

    Meet biweekly with the Spa Director and/or Owner

    Meet monthly with the Esthetics staff

    Weekly email correspondence to the esthetics team to review prior month’s performance highlights, new product launches, facial protocols and action plans for the team.

    Quarterly Licensed Esthetician evaluations with the Spa Director.

    Qualifications:

    Strong retail and sales upgrade record

    Experienced Esthetician with previous experience performing facials, microdermabrasion, waxing and other skin care services.

    Must carry liability insurance

    Knowledge and understanding of all spa services and product lines as it relates to Estheticians

    Completion of all Hand & Stone required Dermalogica training and a commitment to achieve Dermalogica Expert status within 12 months of accepting Lead position.

    Completion of all Hand & Stone require ClarityRx training and a commitment to achieve ClarityRx Master status within 12 months of accepting Lead position.

    Ability to train and motivate an esthetics team to achieve spa goals for service and retail sales and maintain protocol certifications.

    Previous training experience preferred.
