Description
The Salon Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the franchise, including meeting or exceeding salon goals through membership sales, service and retail sales. The Salon Manager is responsible for creating an environment that maintains and exceeds the standards in guest service, client retention, staff proficiency and professional hair care recommendations, and will perform the duties and responsibilities of the Receptionist when necessary.
Responsibilities
Monitors quality control in all aspects of operation
Leads by example in key performance indicators
Responsible for meeting individual and salon overall membership sales goals
Consistently evaluates and drives membership sales by employees by overseeing and coaching
Ensures client services are being carried out and completed in a processional, correct, and time efficient manner
Hostess abilities to build and maintain client relationships and top-notch customer service
Responsible for implementing all opening, closing and maintenance procedures
Has a clear vision of every individual among the team along with performance and productivity
Strong coaching and mentoring skills and can verbalize the steps taken to achieve goals
· Analyzes on a daily/weekly/monthly basis salon sales, including add-on services, retail and staff productivity
· Generates all required reports accurately and on time
· Fulfills franchise-reporting requirements
· Ensures all technical/product knowledge classes are in attendance.
Conducts all verbal and technical interviews in accordance to set forth guidelines
Hires and orients new employees
Oversees, evaluates, disciplines employees
Organize monthly staff meetings and attendance
Manage timekeeping and employee schedules
Recruit new staff as requested by salon owner to successfully keep up with client demand
Responsible for identifying skill development for each team member, determine the appropriate resource to develop the skills and set forth
Performs other job functions necessary, including cleaning, sales, and reception to ensure smooth operation of the business
Efficient in replenishment of all salon supplies, and orders inventory from vendors
Implements strategies for ensuring loss prevention
Experience
Active Cosmetology License
Relevant work experience
2 years salon and/or sales management
High School Diploma, Management license where required
Advanced competency in sales, products and service
Enhanced computer skills
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to build a strong and productive team environment
