    ENTRY LEVEL MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR

    Handshake Home Loans Inc. offers a unique ENTRY LEVEL MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR position that provides the opportunity to break into the mortgage industry, participate in Sales Psychology trainings, and prepare for the national SAFE exam while working in a customer-focused inside sales position within our call center as a Loan Officer Transfer Agent. As candidates are training and preparing to pass the SAFE exam, candidates will be responsible for both in-bound and out-bound calls through marketing campaigns. This position conducts the initial pre-qualification phone screen, gathers background information, and guides clients in collecting necessary documentation before connecting clients with a licensed mortgage loan originator. Upon becoming a licensed mortgage loan originator, candidates are promoted to the Developmental Region as a Loan Advisor to begin writing loans with the hands-on support of a highly-skilled management team. Here candidates will provide high-quality service to both internal and external customers by selecting the best options for clients, taking ownership to resolve problems, and meeting clients’ needs.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Analyzes applicant information to determine whether the client is likely to qualify for the desired loan program.
    • Assists clients in choosing the proper program that best fits their needs and takes the initial loan application.
    • Provides guidance on the risks and benefits of the different programs available to the client. Explains and communicates the terms of each product and ensures that all the required documents and disclosures are signed and returned in a timely manner.
    • Builds relationships with both internal and external clients.
    • Responds promptly to client needs and expectations.
    • Exhibits professionalism and demonstrates pride and confidence when interacting with the clients.
    • Utilizes Handshake Home Loans training materials, reference tools and other resources to provide accurate and up-to-date loan program/policy information to both external customers and internal business partners.
    • Ensures exceptional client experience by overseeing the loan process from origination to close and providing on-going communication to clients and business partners.
    • Oversees and ensures successful completion of all assigned Mortgage Loan Originator training activities.
    • Understands and complies with requirements of applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
    • Adheres to shift requirements.
    • Employed as Loan Officer Transfer Agent during the first 1-3 months pending licensing.
    • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and is clear and concise when speaking with clients.
    • Continually meets and/or exceeds the Sales KPI’s set by Management for Productivity and QA.     EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University highly preferred.

    Must successfully complete background check and credit check prior to start date.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $48,200.00 - $170,400.00 per year
