This is an on-call position with a flexible schedule. Work hours will vary based on operational needs, client demands, and project requirements. Candidates must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Due to the nature of this role, overtime is frequently required and should be expected. Applicants should be comfortable with a variable work schedule and the ability to respond to staffing needs on short notice.
Role and Responsibilities
Drive from site to site in Essex County in provided work vehicle to complete assigned tasks.
Visit supply shops or hardware stores for items when required.
Minor wall repair and painting of walls and doors.
Change light bulbs.
Minor plumbing such as unblocking sinks and drains etc.
Address minor electrical repairs such as replacement of light switches.
Put together furniture, repair furniture, hang TVs.
Perform preventative maintenance activities such as a HVAC filter changes.
Investigate possible problems and manage solutions accordingly.
Update electronic of completed and pending work.
Determine tools and equipment needed for individual repair or maintenance job.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE * Valid Driver’s License*
Basic Computer Skills
Written and Verbal English Skills
Competent at using basic tools.
Proficient with work order management systems.
Hands on experience using small commercial/mechanical equipment.
Literacy and numeracy skills in order to check delivery notes, measurements etc.
Able to regularly handle/carry items up to 75 lbs in weight.
High school diploma or equivalent.
