    Handyman Pro seeks experienced lead handyman/lead technician/operations manager to perform supervisory duties and directing the activities of one or more handyman technicians in the performance of home improvement/ maintenance work such as repairs, all types of room remodeling, electrical, flooring, plumbing, drywall, inspections, inventory management and schedule management. This is a working management position with the ratio of production to supervision activities based on business growth and operational tempo.     Responsibilities

    Maintain oversight over all handyman technicians and company-owned assets

    Perform various types of home improvement/ maintenance work; including residential and commercial work

    Products, buildings and applications differ case by case; the candidate must be able to choose best solutions for each application as it pertains to safety, functionality and performance working within the guide lines of the manufacturer’s installation instructions.

    The Lead Technician/Operations Manager will also trouble shoot, repair and perform periodic maintenance on new and existing equipment.

    Maintain truck, inventory and tools.

    Communicate and report daily with management.

    Lead/manage team, inventory, and jobs.

    Skills Required

    9 + years experience in the handyman service industry - knowledge of the principles, techniques, equipment and supplies used in the industry

    Skilled Tradesman in home repair/maintenance and remodeling

    Ability to learn and teach new processes

    Ability to plan, implement and direct field activities

    Strong computer and software skills – including scheduling and dispatch management systems

    Ability to train and motivate subordinates

    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and general public

    Customer service-oriented outlook on business

    Be a self-starter with the ability to organize multiple projects, manage rapidly shifting priorities and produce tangible, measurable results

    Advanced problem-solving skills

    Mechanical aptitude – knowledge and skilled in using various hand and power tools.

    Basic business math and legible handwriting

    Must have a valid drivers' license with good driving record and be insurable.

    Education

    High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2-4 years of experience that would provide the skills and abilities that is necessary to complete the job.

    Physical Demands

    Requires frequently: Standing, lifting of 50+ lbs., Carrying 50+ lbs., walking, pushing, stooping, climbing, bending, crouching, crawling, reaching above and below shoulder level; full use of hands, good finger dexterity, lifting from floor to waist and twisting of torso. Also includes working in cramped spaces, on ladders, and with power tools and perform manual labor in outside environment, exposed to heat, sun, high humidity, rain and other adverse weather conditions.

    Experience

    2-4 years’ experience in the handyman service industry required.

    One-year supervisory experience preferred.
