Job Title: Maintenance Technician **
Department:** TP)Facility Technology Team **
Direct Report:** Group Leader **
Shift:** Selected candidates will eventually be placed on a night shift (545pm-6am, 2-2-3 shift) after completing their training **
Compensation:** Starting range for qualified candidates is $26.50-$30.00/hr dependent on prior experience in industrial maintenance with performance based step increases up to $34.00 top out (including $2.00/hr night-shift premium) in as early as 6-18 months.
About the Maintenance Technician position
We are looking for an experienced technician who will perform preventative maintenance, shutdown maintenance and repair duties for the Facilities Technology Team to ensure the assigned unit remains in operating form.
Technician responsibilities are:
- Perform mechanical/electrical maintenance duties safely, professionally, and to standard while following all company and regulatory safe work and housekeeping practices
- Participate in and support Hankook's continuous improvement programs to include 5S
- Develop and maintain a partnership approach to operations, quality, and EHS
- Maintain knowledge of the machines and remain up-to-date on predictive and preventive maintenance guidelines
- Diagnose problems with existing equipment/machinery
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain all manners of electrical components
- Use of computer systems to perform diagnostics on electrical components and PLC system
- Perform work from blueprints, sketches, or specifications
- Inspect, clean, replace, and repair machines, motors, and other electrical components
- Maintain wiring systems; bend conduit and replace old wiring
- Replace guards, covers, and close control cabinets after work is completed
- Perform welding and fabrication as required
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
Technician requirements are:
Education:
- (Required) High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- (Required) At least 1 years of previous maintenance experience in an industrial environment
- (Required) Knowledge of various machine operations and production roles
- (Required) Proficient with reading mechanical/electrical print
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; to reach with hands and arms; and to talk and hear
- Mobility throughout the facility
- Working in warm temperatures with no air condition, working outside at times during cold weather
- Employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, walk, crouch or crawl
- Employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis
- Working at heights of 10 feet or greater, operating lifting devices, and entering confined spaces
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus
