Manufacturing Engineer

You will support production by designing and building automation systems and robotic end effectors to better aid the operator in producing injection molded plastics. First, work with our team of Engineers to problem-solve various tasks. Then, create 3D parts/assemblies and 2D drawings to build the design in-house.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Improve the safety and quality of life for our employees

· Communicate with outside vendors

· Create timelines and project planners to accomplish tasks effectively

· Create and edit Computer Aided Design drawings/3D models and Assemblies (Solidworks)

· Improve the quality of products with automation by increasing the efficiency of Operators/tasks

· Basic Electrical knowledge, safety, circuits, diagrams

· PLC ladder logic knowledge

· Open-minded approach to trying new things and developing new skills

Daily tasks include but are not limited to:

· Identify areas of improvement for work cells

· Update online task tracker as projects progress

· Utilize CAD/3D software

· Utilize 3D printers to build projects

· Use a Milling machine, Lathe, or hand tools to create parts from scratch

Education/Qualifications/Skills:

· B.A. in Engineering (any focus)

· Three years of experience in a plastic injection molding environment

· Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc.)

· Ability to think critically to find solutions to root problems

· High school diploma or equivalent

· FDM/SLA 3D printing experience is a plus.

· Bi-lingual a plus (English/Spanish)

Must pass a physical and drug screen and participate in E-Verify
