Hansen Talent Group is hiring! Our team is seeking a Db2 for Linux Database Administrator to join a growing team! This position is 100% remote and supporting an expanding data center environment working with multi-tenant platforms as well as modernization efforts!

The Senior Database Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance and support of multiple high volume DB2 LUW databases.

Duties:

• Perform the monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, backup and recovery, and security management to ensure efficient and reliable database operations.
• Install and configure DB2 database software on Linux and Windows servers, promoting DB2 best practices and new features to developers during application design and implementation.
• Analyze database performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies to enhance system performance and optimize query execution
• Implement and enforce database security measures to protect data integrity and ensure audit compliance.
• Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
• Creation and maintenance of database objects (tables, columns, indexes, etc).
• Mentor and guide junior members of the team.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience working with DB2 on Linux and Windows Environments (DB2 LUW).
• 10+ years experience with Database Administration/Database Engineering
• Project Leadership experience
• In-depth working experience with logical and physical data modeling design concepts.
