Hansen Talent Group is hiring a Technical Writer to work with a large enterprise in Columbia, SC. This position will be on site the first 90 days and potential to become hybrid.

What You'll Do: 

• Reviews, critiques, and edits documentation including design documents, RFP/RFI responses, programmer notes, and/or system overviews. Ensures final product is professional in appearance and meets all internal and external requirements.
• Develops, maintains, and enhances a "proposal library" for ensuring continuity of information available to internal proposal teams. Builds processes for ensuring published documentation is kept current.
• Interviews subject matter experts and technical staff to collect information, prepare written text, and coordinate layout and material organization.
• Develops, maintains, and enhances 'best practices documentation for internal and external use. Builds processes for ensuring published documentation is kept current.
• Conducts needs assessments related to technical material development and training. Provides or coordinates special documentation services.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work effectively on several projects simultaneously, independently and with groups.
• Good knowledge of version control management processes.
• Good knowledge of documentation security processes.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide guidance to less experienced staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including: management, highly-skilled technical staff, non-technical personnel, and with external clients.

Work Experience: 3 years technical writing experience. Work experience includes technical document development design experience. Includes experience in RFP/RFI response projects.

Preferred Work Experience: 1 year-technical writing and RFP/RFI response experience in an I/T environment.
