Hansen Talent Group is looking for a Computer Operator to join our team in Kent, WA! This position will be responsible for the day-to-day activities and assignments of Computer Operations staff, while also identifying and resolving any computer system problems.
This role is 100% onsite, with a rotating schedule.

What You'll Do:

• Maintains tape libraries and operates console systems.
• Assigns, reviews, and approves the work of assigned staff.
• Manages the daily activities to resolve problems and change management issues.
• Provides advice/guidance to lower-level Operators on the resolution of complex scheduling conflicts, computer malfunctions, program/system malfunctions and other irregularities.
• Operates and monitors computer system and related equipment, ensuring all batch cycles are completed by deadline.
• Reads production schedules, job request forms, and job documentation to determine what jobs to run, what procedures to follow and what input data to obtain. Responsible for production systems’ online response time.
• Identifies/monitors and diagnoses system problems, initiates corrective action where possible. Monitors system for possible hardware or software problems Troubleshoots and provides advice on data center equipment problems.
• Compiles and maintains reports relative to computer operations as required. Reviews equipment logs and reports on equipment efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5 years experience in the operation and support of a variety of computer systems.
  
• Mainframe Experience/Multiple LPARS
• Willingness to work onsite
