Hanson Faso Sales & Marketing is a specialty food and confection broker of Finer Foods, Confections, and Natural Foods with over 50 years of industry experience. We are currently seeking a Merchandiser primarily working in the cheese and deli sections of local grocers. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: - Responsible for the day to day in store work at chain accounts in Chicagoland area. - Maintain full distribution and displays of authorized products in assigned accounts. - Effectively and accurately prepare, process, submit and manage documentation related to assigned work. - Work in retail cheese departments assisting stores in creating and managing displays. - Make sure all approved racks and trays are placed and in good condition. - Verify price tags are up and accurate. - Confirm that all approved POS and Coupons are placed properly. - Accurately report all completed retail audits on the day the work is performed. - Contact all stores to inform and prepare for upcoming demos. - Random check code dates and rotate product. - Monitor product quality and take action to resolve quality issues by communicating with the Hanson Faso Principal Manager. - Keep open and active communication with appropriate chain department managers. - Have open communication with your Account Manager and report any issues as it relates to your job. - Communicate (photo or e-mail) competitive item information that is new or you think would be of interest. The ideal candidate will possess the following: - Strong work ethic- hard working, task oriented - Basic computer skills - Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs - Must have own transportation and be able to provide a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance. - Previously experience in specialty cheese market preferred The Merchandiser will have regular communication with the Account Manager for the chains they are covering. The position will require a commitment of 20-25 hours per week at a rate of pay of $20 per hour. Mileage, parking and tolls will be reimbursed.
