The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working in a corporate communications capacity. The candidate must have strong copywriting, copy editing, and oral and written communications skills. Candidate must be extremely eager to learn, not afraid to ask questions, be comfortable accepting constructive feedback, and able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must have strong planning and project management skills and must be comfortable with taking ownership of projects. This role requires the ability to work across organizational functional areas to complete tasks. The candidate should be comfortable with group work and working with agencies and clients over the phone and face to face. The candidate must have an exceptional work ethic and desire to learn and grow in the field of communications. The candidate must be agile and able to manage multiple concurrent projects while taking ownership of their responsibilities with a positive, can-do attitude.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Communications Specialist manages the creation of internal communications to include emails, newsletters, presentations, other internal communications for two of the five Happinest Brands in a matrixed team environment supporting franchisees across the US and Canada. The core objective of these communications is to increase the awareness and usage of various business tools, programs and platforms using appropriate internal communication channels. The Senior Communication Specialist will also serve as the lead copywriter and copy editor across all Happinest brands for wide of range of materials such as collateral, one-pagers, ads, executive communications, web pages, and other documents as required. This role reports to the Director of Communications and Creative Design.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the Copy Creation of Internal Communications (emails, newsletters, presentations, etc.) for Two of the Five Happinest Brands
Writes and Produces Deliverables to Increase Awareness, Understanding and Usage of Various Business Tools, Programs and Platforms using Appropriate Internal Communication Channels
Serves as the Lead Copywriter and Copy Editor Across all Happinest Brands for a Wide of Range of Materials such as One-pagers, Presentations, Collateral, Executive Communications, Talking Points, Web Pages, and Other Documents as Required
Maintains a Catalogue of Pre‐Approved Key Messages Tied to an Annual Schedule, in Consultation with Director of Communications and Creative Design
Receives and Implement Feedback to Grow as a Copywriter and Communications Specialist
Interacts with Department Managers, Cross-Functional Project Leaders and Franchisees to Provide Communications Support and Resolve Problems
Actively Manages and Track Programs and Campaigns
