HAPPY PICASSO OF DALY CITY IS SEEKING: A PART-TIME VISUAL AND FINE ART TEACHER FOR 4-16 AGE KIDS.
Happy Picasso in Daly City and Millbrae CA seeks a candidate with expertise in visual arts from drawing, painting, mixed media. We are looking for an artist to join the team for our regular session program. Our students are from age 4-adult. It is a part-time position and we offer about 10 hours or more per week. Teachers are required to be able to teach in our Daly City location or Millbrae
Our rate is $20-$35
PROFESSIONAL
- BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ART REQUIRED, a strong visual arts foundation
-Knowledge of color theory, blending, and layering using watercolor, oil pastel, acrylic paint
-If you applied as a Visual Art Teacher, please have the link of your demo wheel
Effective verbal communications.
-The ability to read the class and pace the instruction to complete the class in the assigned time frame.
-A cooperative team spirit, integrity, and a solid work ethic
-Must be willing to set up for class, teach class, and clean-up after class.
-Ability to attend occasional offsite events.
-Being able to work weekends and weeknights Classes, including set up and clean up. As class-volume builds, additional classes, and back-to-back classes, will be available.
Experience working with young children
Customer service/sales experience a plus
Classical training in drawing and painting is preferred.
Strong interest and desire to work with students of all ages.
Strong organization and communication skills
A desire to learn by doing and to learn with and from others
A desire to teach collaboratively
Flexibility and creativity in working in a dynamic environment where new ideas, mistakes, and iteration are embraced.
A sincere openness to feedback and improvement
A car is required
