  • Responsibilities

    Role Objectives: This position provides general accounting, clerical and administrative support to management in support of offsite Corporate Accounting. Key Responsibilities:

    Accounts Receivable/Collections

    Inputs incoming payments into accounting system, Great Plains

    Approval of billing and transmittal to customer.

    Tracks aged accounts and contacts customers for payment.

    Maintains and tracks brokerage payments.

    Prepare standard and ad-hoc reports as required

    Accounts Payable

    Review and seek approval for accounts payable.

    Daily process of approved accounts payable by inputting into accounting system

    Reconcile Credit Card purchases and filing of receipts

    Input employee reimbursements into accounting system

    General Accounting Duties

    Complete other projects and special assignments as requested by supervisor and/or Senior Management

    Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

    Strong attention to detail, very organized and appreciation for accuracy

    Ability to multi-task and flexibility to changing priorities

    Works well individually and as part of a team

    Intermediate Excel skills

    Experience with general ledger or accounts payable/receivable systems

    Ability to train and coach others in similar areas of responsibility

    Education/Experience:

    High school diploma or GED required

    BA/BS in Accounting Technology or similar – Preferred or

    2+ years of experience working in a similar capacity in an accounting, accounts payable or general office environment

    Physical Requirements:

    Employee will exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force frequently

    Requires repetitive motion, hearing, talking, grasping, typing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and sitting

    Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading, as well as peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    The worker is subject to environmental conditions as work is performed both inside and outside, vibration, hazards, and noise.
