SUMMARY: This role requires a high level of skill and experience with Cadence Allegro software including HDL and CIS schematic capture. The Applications Engineer (AE) brings an understanding of our customer’s technical and commercial needs and defines the best approach using our software tools. The Applications Engineer will be responsible for managing and defining how our software is used across multiple worldwide sites:

CADENCE EXPERIENCE SHOULD INCLUDE AS MUCH OF THE FOLLOWING AS POSSIBLE:

• 5 years design experience

• CIS & HDL, system capture schematic capture
• Constraint manager
• Cadence High Speed options
• Bundle Router
• BGA channel assigner (FPGA System Planner)
• Skill (Cadence Programming Language)

IN ADDITION:

• This AE position is an individual contributor role (no supervisory responsibility).
• Will be involved in training new and existing team members
• Has excellent communication and presentation skills
• Understands the requirements of an ISO9001 quality system
• Supports technical discussions with the Customer, Field Application Engineers and Designers as required to support design requirements.
• Ensures that Harbor design process rules are followed.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience with RF electronics is preferred
• Knowledge of PCB manufacturing and Assembly techniques
• Must be fluent in English in both written and spoken form. Additional language skills beyond English are desirable ( German, Mandarin ).
