Job Summary:

Baker Landscaping & Concrete, LLC is seeking a skilled and reliable Hardscape General Laborer to join our team. In this role, hardscape installation projects, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. This entry-level position is responsible for assisting the team with basic tasks, ensuring worksite safety, and learning essential hardscaping techniques

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Assist in the installation of hardscape features, including pavers, concrete, stone, and retaining walls.

Perform basic site preparation, such as digging, grading, and compacting soil.

Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from the worksite.

Maintain a clean and organized work area by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored properly.

Operate basic tools and equipment safely, including shovels, wheelbarrows, compactors, and saws.

Follow directions from Crew Leaders and Technicians to complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Support quality control by ensuring proper alignment, spacing, and installation of materials.

Adhere to company safety policies, wearing proper PPE, and reporting hazards to supervisors.

Learn and develop skills in hardscaping techniques and material handling to advance within the company.

Provide general labor support for landscaping and hardscape-related tasks as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.

Previous experience in construction, hardscape, or landscaping is a plus but not required.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing and walking.

Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.

Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.

Work Environment and Conditions:

Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.

Ability to work on uneven terrain, such as dirt, grass, or gravel surfaces.

Exposure to loud noises from equipment and vehicles.

May require wearing protective gear such as gloves, safety boots, or reflective vests.
