Job Summary-

This part time position requires an upbeat, positive self-starter with excellent communication skills. Utilize both your accounting and general administrative skills to help oversee monthly bank reconciliations, month-end closing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, ADP payroll and supply ordering for this growing construction company. Part time position with somewhat flexible hours. One day a week in the office, may work remotely the remainder of the time.

Here's what we're looking for-

• Knowledge and proficiency in Quickbooks accounting
• Ability to reconcile monthly bank statements
• Make GL adjustments in QB as needed
• Checks and verifies source documents such as invoices, receipts and computer printouts for all transactions
• Prepares checks for owner to sign
• Keeps accurate customer files to include: estimates, invoicing, correspondence and payments
• Requests insurance verification and bonds as needed for jobs
• Sets up 1099 sub-contractors in QB
• Tracks accounts receivables
• Prepares monthly Department of Revenue filings
• General record keeping
• Routinely communicates with all members of the staff to assist as needed
• Demonstrates a positive attitude towards customers and co-workers
• Flexible and adaptable to daily changes in business priorities
• Maintains confidentiality of company records and documentation
• Adept at preparing Excel spreadsheets
• Performs other general office duties including but not limited to: filing, scanning, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence
