    As an integral member of HarpData, the Solutions Architect plays an essential role on our Engineering team, working in collaboration with our Sales Team to architect innovative solutions to HarpData clients. Working with a team of highly motivated professionals, you will interpret client requirements and design solutions based on analysis and assessment of solutions based on requirements (technical, cost, business, security, schedule, etc.).

    The Solutions Architect is a client-facing, pre and post sales engineer with deep subject matter expertise in one or more of the following - Storage, Server, Networking, and Hyper-converged solutions. The person works closely with a set of Relationship Development Managers and acts as a value-added technical advocate for HarpData clients. The Solutions Architect is responsible for understanding clients’ business requirements and qualifying opportunities by creating and recommending solutions that match the requirements with appropriate hardware, software, and professional services.

    What You Will Do:

    This role builds the required collateral to represent the solution including, but not limited to, At-A-Glance documents, HLDs (High-Level Design), BOMs (Bill of Materials), Product Quotes (with pricing), LOEs (Level of Efforts), Client Proposals and SOWs (Statement of Work). This role entails the following responsibilities; collaborating with Relationship Development Managers, other Solutions Architects, and vendor partners to define the customer requirements, develop a proposed solution, help close the sale, and maximize profit to HarpData. The Solutions Architect role requires the individual to build and maintain relationships with key business partners, clients, and the HarpData team.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    Evaluate each opportunity for alignment with HarpData capabilities.

    Prepare the executive summary that outlines all of the information gathered from the client in regard to their needs, as we understand them.

    Document the proposed technology solution.

    Document the statement of work along with all labor requirements.

    Work with the Relationship Development Managers and Operations to prepare the pricing format that will be supplied to the customer.

    Perform the actual solution design and prepare a parts list outlining equipment to be provided.

    Develop and manage a proof-of-concept as such may be required.

    Engage all technical resources required for an accurate solution design.

    Document all deliverables and what constitutes a successful completion.

    Verify the proposal’s accuracy and sign off on the final documents to be presented to the client.

    Assist the Relationship Development Managers during the final presentation to the client as appropriate.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, relevant experience

    5+ years of experience with Architecture, Install and/or administration within IT domain

    5+ years experience as an IT administrator, Consultant or Vendor Pre-Sales Engineer

    Subject Matter expertise in Server, Storage, Networking, or Hyper-converged solution technologies

    Certification(s) in one or more of the following NetApp, MCSA, MCSE, RHCE, RHCA, VCAP, VCDX, NCIE, CCIE, CCNP

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Excellent presentation and white-boarding skills

    Experience with Vendor/Partner Management

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
