    Harper Federal is seeking an HR Generalist based out of Lawton, Oklahoma.

    Responsibilities

    • Partners with management staff to support site, departmental, and corporate goals.
    • Participates in the analysis of appropriate staffing levels based on business demands.
    • Supports management in the handling of employee relations matters, this includes, investigating sensitive and complex situations and facilitates the resolution of matters on conflict at the earliest opportunity. Escalates concerns in relation to HR and other matters to the appropriate management staff as necessary.
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
    • Compiles and prepares data in relation to and preparation of EEO and Affirmative Action reporting/plan requirements set forth as a Federal Contractor.
    • Leads specific HR-related projects as assigned, researching, progressing, and coordinating projects and making recommendations for future action.
    • Participates in annual benefit renewals and open enrollment processes.

    Required Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in the construction industry
    • Spanish speaking
    • Strong understanding of prevailing wage and labor compliance, including Davis Bacon Act
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and local wage and tax laws and overtime requirements

    Preferred Qualifications

    • HR certificate
    • Construction industry experience

    Compensation and Benefits

    • $26 to $31 per hour
      • The offered rate will be based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience.
    • This position is eligible for our benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. We also offer a 401(k) plan with company match, company paid holidays and vacation.
