    JOB SUMMARY:

    Support Advertising Supervisor with marketing communication initiatives including but not limited to mobile marketing and social marketing (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) with focus on content creation and communication imagery.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Required at least 21 years of age.

    • Required experience in photography and videography.

    • Preferred one to two years’ experience in e-mail marketing, marketing, or the advertising industry.  Solid understanding of emerging marketing channels (social media, mobile marketing).  

    • Preferred proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).

    • Preferred experience in an administrative position.

    • Understand usability and editorial standards for online environments. 

    • Must possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills. 

    • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. 

    • Ability to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints.  Must have excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player and have a professional appearance.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Ensure timely communication of all issues, concerns, incidents and/or suggestions for improvement.

    • Develops messaging strategy and implementation calendar for mobile marketing initiatives. 

    • Passion for content creation and new media is essential for success. Must have clear understanding of how marketing channels are constantly evolving and have desire to change strategy based on consumer channel trends.

    • Strong writing skills with experience in writing press releases, media advisories and editorial.

    • Planning and executing photoshoots for social, website and other communication content.

    • Create and implement communication plans for social applications (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube).

    • Oversees maintenance and messaging strategy for Harrah’s Nor Cal website.

    • Continually reviews competitors’ websites and social marketing efforts to capture news and industry developments for reportage to senior management.

    • Gathering response data from all types of email and mobile communications.

    • Coordinates efforts with direct mail and special event staff as well as other team’s on-property and ensure consistency is found in all messaging.

    • Project and program management – manage timelines, process, and deliverables for special projects (i.e. online promotions, Microsites, online media campaigns).

    • Verify all information within communication plans is accurate prior to publishing.

    • All other job duties as assigned such as posting printed collateral throughout the casino, assisting in film/photo shoots, etc.

    • All team members will follow the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy. It is the expectation that every team member, front or back of house, should proactively seek out opportunities to greet guests and their fellow team members daily. EGE policy states teams members should: acknowledge guests and fellow team members within 10 feet; initiate friendly verbal greeting within 5 feet; keep your head up, look around (“head on a swivel”); look for opportunities to greet guests and others; please remember that when you are on the floor, you are “on stage”.   

    • Team members will participate in all mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions.

    • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated. 

    • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.

    • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. 

    • Must be able to respond to visual and aural ques.

    • Must present a well-groomed, professional appearance.

    • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and complies with all state, federal and regulatory policies, and procedures.

    • Must be able to work a varied schedule including holidays, nights and weekends as needed.

    • Must be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required.

    PHYSICAL, MENTAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

    • Able to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

    • Able to sit for long periods of time (minimum of three-four hours).

    • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the casino; from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.

    • Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, twist and work at a desk. 

    • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment. 

    • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest needs. 

    • Must be able to work in areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
