    Rate: $63,000 annually

    Job Summary :

    Provides and maintains quality and effective internal communications at the property by understanding the target customer, their needs, wants and service delivery implications. Facilitates communication across property to ensure consistent, targeted and timely messaging. Uses effective communications to reinforce branded employee experience and create employer-of-choice reputation among employees.

    Qualifications :

    • 5-7 years clerical and writing/publishing experience, preferably in a customer-service environment.
    • Must be fluent in use of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher) and Adobe.
    • Experience in public relations or event planning required, especially in the casino/resort/hotel field.
    • Must have excellent teamwork, interpersonal, customer service, written and verbal communication skills.
    • Able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment, with flexibility, under deadline pressure.
    • Must be able to work flexible hours.
    • College Degree preferred, in Journalism, Communication or English.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Coordinates production of property communications, daily Buzz, weekly newsletter, news flashes and all other internal communication pieces.
    • Maintains up-to-date information on property website.
    • Communicates with vendors for special projects, Advertising needs, supplies, etc.
    • Submits all Advertising requisitions through Purchasing and tracks all projects to ensure that they are completed.
    • Interacts and engages with social media sites for Harrah’s Northern California and acts a liaison for the property.
    • Delivers social media graphics, photos and information to our vendor each month in a timely manner.
    • Ability to think of new, creative, and exciting ways to communicate internally and externally to drive more engagement for the property.
    • Develops and produces other internal communications support collateral (print and digital) as needed.
    • Supports property and corporate communications with internal marketing programs.
    • Supports manager as a liaison with all property departments and management team on communications issues and opportunities.
    • Assist manager in the measurement of the effectiveness of communications programs through periodic surveys and focus groups.
    • Supports the Graphic Designer with projects where needed.
    • Deals directly with management in preparing written and verbal communications.
    • Assists in coordinating public relations special events.
    • Provide onsite supervision for public relations special events.
    • Writing projects (i.e., articles, letters and routine correspondence) as assigned.
    • Under manager’s supervision, deals directly with property management in preparing written and verbal communications.

    • Must be able to work independently.
    • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
    • Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, and twist in the work area.
    • Respond to visual and aural cues.
    • Must be able to operate a computer, typewriter, overhead, copier and fax machine.
    • Must have manual dexterity to operate all office equipment.
    • Must be able to recognize and respond to individuals with questions.
    • Must be able to maneuver around property to pick-up and deliver paperwork.
