Job Summary & Responsibilities Engineering firm with over 70 years in business is looking for a Land Development Engineer for their Huntington, New York office!

Responsibilities:

• Design/coordinate work on projects including due diligence/site feasibility studies, site engineers, regulatory approvals/full permitting for full range of site development projects
• Develop site layout/design including site layout, grading/storm drainage roadway, and utility infrastructure
• Use knowledge of NYSDEC storm water drainage requirements to prepare hydrology and hydraulic calculations
• Prepare probable costs and specifications for public bids
• Coordinate with other engineers and departments within the firm
• Daily contact for clients to coordinate all project activities
• Responsible for on-time, on budget, high quality delivery of all projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline
• 5+ years of experience with a specific focus on site development projects
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices of related technical areas
• Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil3D skills, Autoturn, Excel and Photoshop
• EIT/PE desired
