    One of the nation’s largest painting contractors, located in West Georgia, is seeking a financial professional to manage the accounting department and guide the shareholders on all risk and financial aspects of the Company. The position also is responsible for human resources and managing the outside technology group in maximizing efficiencies throughout the entire organization. Strong leadership skills are a necessity to work with operations, sales, marketing and other functional groups within the organization.     Essential Criteria for Role:

    Strong leadership skills and capabilities

    • 4-year accounting degree at an accredited university.
    • 4-6 years of construction and job cost accounting experience
    • Willing to not only manage the department but also assemble detailed analysis and reconcile accounts, implement strong closing process, and generate financial statements.
    • Perform financial and ratio analysis as directed by executive leadership team.
    • Advanced skills with MS-Office Suite
    • Teamwork building personality.
    • Knows when to be serious but enjoys a fun environment.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage month-end close including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Provide daily cash flow analysis and other cash-related functions including banking, payroll, accounts payable and receivables/billings.
    • Constantly strive to refine internal business processes and when applicable, drive technological solutions that promote greater efficiency throughout the organization.
    • Support executive management team in variance analysis, data collection, and analysis and management of key areas of the budget.
    • Conduct and train financial analysis to middle management leaders who are responsible for running divisions throughout the Southeast and Central United States
    • Mentor and grow the accounting staff (supervise a staff of six people)
    • Establish and maintain systems and internal controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes, data, and enhance the company's value.
    • Develop and maintain budget, forecasting and projection models that support situational analysis for the management team.
    • Generate financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
    • Coordinate required filings including local, state, and federal taxes - income and sales tax based.
    • Manage the license filing requirements with State and Local Authorities
    • Participate in strategic planning meetings throughout the year.
    • Internally manage relationships with bank, bonding, and outside audit professionals
