    Summary: Ensures all credit information for current and potential borrowers is accurate. The Senior Credit Analyst determines the advisability of granting credit for diversified types of loans and assists loan officers in writing loan requests.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

    • Reviews and analyzes larger, complex credits in their respective markets and regions;
    • Reviews loan packages for Executive level loan committees on a daily basis;
    • Provides outstanding customer service and support with lenders, lending assistants and credit analysts in their market and region and takes an active role in assisting with loans coming due, pipelines and exceptions;
    • Recommends and participates in driving new and improved methods and tools for underwriting loan credits;
    • Provides guidance for underwriting methods and processes to other Credit Analysts;
    • Mentors, guides and supports new class participants in the Bank’s Credit College;
    • Meets with lenders to ensure that our loan underwriting is meeting their needs and expectations;
    • Participates in meetings, ask questions and provides input that helps others to understand and grow;
    • Assists with special projects at both the local and global levels, as needed;
    • Works closely and takes a leading role in assisting the Senior Credit Officer and Senior Lending Officer with projects and tasks as needed; and
    • Performs other work related duties, as assigned.

    • Must have excellent customer service skills;
    • Must have the ability to work well with others;
    • Must have underwriting knowledge and skills for all the different types of loans that would be seen in their respective markets and regions;
    • Must be able to exhibit an understanding of mentoring, testing, and assisting in loan covenants, loan policies, and borrowing bases;
    • Must be able to exhibit leadership skills necessary to mentor, teach and guide other credit analysts’ within the bank;
    • Must have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
    • Must have strong attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and balancing multiple tasks simultaneously;
    • Must be proficient in Excel; and
    • Must be able to pass background and credit screening process.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A) in a business related field with some classes in accounting and/or finance required;
    • Four to ten (4-10) years’ related credit analyst experience required; and
    • Banking experience preferred.
