    Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a leading Insurance company in search of a Occupational Accident Underwriting Director. The Underwriting Director is responsible for leading innovative strategies that will build the client’s brand, leading to increased awareness, revenue, relevance and respect among our target audience: clients, prospects, community, & employees. This position serves as the subject matter expert who demonstrates their expertise and provides regular updates to management and underwriters. Additionally, the Occupational Accident Underwriting Director oversees and implement strategic community and charitable engagement plans and support the operating, financial and strategic goals for all facilities in collaboration with other leaders.

    This position reports into Nashville but can be fully remote.

    Here are some key responsibilities this position will have:

     

    • Execute the strategic vision and business development opportunities for the Occupational Accident Program.

    • Lead the development of metrics, reports and analysis on regular and ad hoc basis. Sign-off on referrals and document files in a way that reflects a solid thought process and decision making through comprehensive account reviews

    • Demonstrate industry expertise by monitoring social, judicial and legislative developments that may impact the profitability of the business unit.

    • Exercise a high level of responsiveness and focus on supporting business partner objectives through successful negotiations. Develop and maintain the relationships through responsive service, site visits, and renewal meetings or enhanced knowledge of their customers’ businesses.

    • Provide comprehensive communication to ensure thorough understanding of available programs and services

    • Develop/enhance policy standards, methods, and processes to ensure team performance meets business expectations, increases profit, and satisfies customers

    • Perform other related duties as assigned, within the scope of practice

     

    More qualifications were’ looking for:

    • 3-5 years of occupational accident experience

    • 5-10 years of underwriting experience

    • Working knowledge of a wide array of additional programs and coverages, including commercial transportation, cargo, workers compensation
