The role provides consultative and day to day HR Services support that not only impacts the immediate, but also impacts future state and change efforts as we continue our journey to become a LEAN organization. The role utilizes solid consulting and influencing skills to deliver high quality decisions as well as influence change and drive process improvements. This role would be aligned with managers and leaders on the salaried business side of the company while other Business Partners would support the manufacturing division.     This is a particularly exciting time to join Harsco Rail as we embark on fundamental changes in the way we operate on a day-to-day basis, changes that will lead to even more opportunities. Essential Duties: You will have the opportunity to learn and develop a clear understanding of the business metrics, strategies / goals and then translate them into required HR support needs.  Partner with managers to develop the best solution to various HR issues that align to corporate policies / guidelines as well as current best practices.  Provide comprehensive HR advice and support to managers in key areas such as Performance Management, Change Management, Employee Relations, Strategic Work Force Planning (Recruiting & Staffing) and Talent Management programs (Performance Management & Succession/ Career Planning).  Provides value added services to the business that demonstrates positive return on investment for HR.  This role would support all North American salaried employees.  •    Identify and prioritize the process, policies and procedures that need to be streamlined, standardized, automated or reallocated •    Work with hiring managers to deliver employee lifecycle events such as goals, performance reviews and evaluations •    Create and maintain a strong team that delivers programs and processes to support the success of the organization •    Partner with management on special projects or significant HR related issues •    Active member of the local leadership team •    Apply advanced knowledge in innovative   

Qualifications

Qualifications: •    Education: Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required Experience: 5+ years of progressive HR experience as a Generalist and/or HRBP supporting business teams •    TRAVEL: 5% ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Maintaining appropriate balance between effectively meeting business needs and ensuring consistency across the organization.  Staying abreast of competitive best practices and managing projects to completion on time with the ability to keep up with the pace of the work with short turnaround time on deliverables.   •    Must be both strategic and tactical in work orientation. •    Must be able to understand the business strategy and how this position can support success.
