    PRIMARY FUNCTION

    The Staff Accountant, Payroll Clerk provides administrative support service for the SEPTA operation out of the Philadelphia, PA Region and provides support to the H2H Controller in the financial management of Hart to Heart Transportation.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Process accounts payable for multiple entities timely and in accordance with corporate policy

    2. Process payroll and provide payroll assistance on a biweekly cycle

    3. Ensure compliance with quarterly and annual payroll and accounts payable filing

    4. Perform daily bank reconciliations

    5. Prepare and process daily bank deposits

    6. Retrieve and process the daily mail.

    7. Prepare and post adjusting journal entries.

    8. Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet account reconciliations

    9. Manage reporting weekly as required

    10. Other accounting duties and projects assigned by the Chief Financial Officer as necessary

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Minimum of a high school diploma

    2. Minimum of 5 to 7 years of accounts payable and/or accounting experience

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Experience working within a sound internal control structure

    2. Demonstrate initiative necessary to properly complete assigned duties

    3. Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset to take ownership of a function

    4. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

    5. Knowledge and ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite products with an emphasis on Excel skills

    6. Knowledge and ability to effectively use QuickBooks

    7. Prior experience with Paycom payroll service a plus

    8. Prior experience with Traumasoft a plus

    9. Good written and oral communication, time management, and organizational skills

    10. Ability to communicate and work with all levels of management and staff

    11. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
