    Company: We are a small but dynamic two-attorney firm specializing in employment litigation in California.

    Position: Legal Assistant

    Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced legal assistant to join our team and support our attorneys in managing employment litigation cases. This is a part-time position (approximately 15-25 hours per week) with flexible hours. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and have a solid understanding of the legal processes involved in filing state court and district court complaints. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding legal environment and contribute to the pursuit of justice.

    Responsibilities:

    Assisting attorneys in drafting and filing state court and district court complaints.
    Utilizing essential forms and templates to ensure accurate and efficient document preparation.
    Managing attorney calendars, scheduling appointments, and maintaining deadlines.
    Preparing and organizing legal documents, correspondence, and case materials.
    Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally and promptly.
    Performing general administrative duties to support the firm's operations.

    Qualifications:

    Proven experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or similar role within a law firm or legal department, with a focus on civil litigation.
    In-depth knowledge of California state court and district court procedures and filings related to employment litigation.
    Familiarity with essential forms used in civil litigation cases.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
    Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and case management.
    Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    Professional demeanor and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
