Responsibilities: • Prevent injuries, slowdowns, and project risks by demanding complete adherence to health and safety standards on construction sites, and reporting safety regulation issues promptly • Negotiate profitable agreements with external vendors, contractors, and critical subcontractors • Clarify the scope with clients, engineers, construction managers, and architects to produce an accurate list of project specifications, including manual labor needs and necessary materials • Secure any required licenses and permits from appropriate authorities to ensure construction is up to code • Provide the cost estimate of the construction up front and accurately control the budget throughout the project • Manage the construction of the project in all phases. • Oversee project administration including change orders, RFIs, submittals, construction documents, permits, and inspections. • Manage the estimating process and oversee budgeting. • Conduct site meetings. • Create and manage project schedules, including managing subcontractors and vendors to ensure adherence to the project schedule. • Implement quality control measures. • Oversee and maintain a clean and organized building site, site office, and efficient document management. • Monitor the work of others to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory codes, as well as company standards. • Ensure compliance with workplace safety protocols. • Lead by example, coach, and motivate team members. • Foster teamwork and collaboration. • Demonstrate emotional intelligence and maintain a good temperament. Qualifications: • Four-year college degree in engineering, construction management, or other similar fields • Finished training for OSHA 30 license • Experience using construction or project management software preferred • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principles • Excellent time-management, organizational, leadership, and communication skills • Strong understanding of construction documents and ability to read plans • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite (Required) • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (Required) • Familiarity with Microsoft Projects or similar software (Preferred) • Knowledge of construction software (Preferred) • Proficiency in Slack and other chat apps (Preferred) • Strong verbal and written communication, computer, and decision-making skills (Required) Compensation: $90,000
