    Job Description

    We are looking to hire a purchasing agent

    Should be responsible for

    1. Maintaining inventory supply levels – data review

    2. actual purchasing, which involves

    · Communication with sales team and past sales analysis,

    · Supplier communication, Price comparisons, negotiation, and quality control

    · Communications with design manager

    · Placing PO’s,

    · Product specs and packaging,

    · Communication with financial team on budget and cash forecast,

    · Customs requirement, and logistic arrangements with shippers and warehouse

    Required skills

    · Data analysis

    · Organizational Skills

    · Project management

    · Excel and other regular office software

    · Knowledge in illustrator is a plus not required

    Goals; Maintain Sufficient stock, of quality products, by reasonable cost

    Inventory Stock

    Reliable software, sales reconciliation, physical counts, (auditing, managing skills)

    Restocking Report

    Sales analysis, sales forecast, understanding inventory turnover, item categories by type and by vendor, (analytical skills)

    Placing PO’s

    Understanding Vendor limitations, shipping and legal limitations, Cost negotiations, quality control. (managing skills)

    Vendor Communication

    Back and forth details sharing, follow through production, (Managing, reading, writing, typing, English spelling and grammar)

    Product Specs

    Item material, color, TC, measurements, trimmings, and accessories. (adobe illustrator and other design software is handy tool)

    Packaging Specs

    Art work, barcodes, descriptions, labels, warnings (design, marketing, English spelling and grammar)

    Pricing – Cost

    Understanding what’s reasonable, negotiating

    Data Entry

    Technical work to get done

    Logistics

    Arrange and book, sharing schedules, payments, customs requirements

    Buying Resources

    Search through international resources, verify reliability, supplier relationship.
