    Job Description

    Eurofins BPT-Columbia is looking for an ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGER to join our Project Management team located in Columbia, Missouri.  The Associate Project Manager position serves as a transitionary role to a project manager for Bio/Pharmaceutical contract testing.   Learning the necessary technical functions to navigate information systems, construct and develop relationships with clients and  internal scientific and support departments, refine organizational skills required for project management, and assist project managers with a variety of tasks to familiarize candidates with the daily routine of the department.

    Duties include:

    • Support Sample and Project Management in the auditing review of sample submissions in Information Management System (LIMS), including a review of all associated documents (methods, specifications, protocols, etc.).

    • Shadow Project Managers to learn processes and duties required for a project management position.

    • Interact with Project Managers and clients and communicates overall goals and expectations to operations through the setup of the study design.

    • Assist in preparation of quotes and proposals.

    • Provide project oversight, acts as client advocate on site; interact with operations and analytical test designers to keep all parties well informed of project status.

    • Responsible for updating information in CRM.

    • Logistical management and control of all study prerequisites are onsite to start a project, including methods, protocols and sample/standard materials in a timely fashion.

    • Monitor time-based projects and responsible for managing change orders.

    • Accountable for Analytical Definition, which includes specification information, calculation determination, regulatory status and reporting criteria.

    • Manage multiple clients while coordinating and working with internal departments to meet client timelines.

    • Coordinate all face-to-face and teleconferences/communications relating to the client's work and works with client to address client questions, concerns and comments.

    • Responsible for evaluating invoices as directed.

    • Perform other related duties as required and directed.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD POSSESS: 

    • Competency in multiple company’s service lines.  Ability to present information in a professional and persuasive manner.  Competence with tools and methods for project management.  Project management or facilitation experience.  Leadership skills, analytical abilities, and effective project management skills. 

    • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency, sampling theory, and factor analysis.  Ability to apply concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.  Ability to analyze complex data sets as part of root cause analysis and statistical modeling/trending.

    • Ability to identify existing and potential problems in both technical and non-technical settings.  Is able to problem solve across multiple levels of organizations, recognizing often competing needs.  Identifies root causes of problems and addresses them to avoid future issues.  Gathers data from a variety of sources, establishes facts, draws conscientious conclusions, and proposes solutions.

    • Ability to learn eLIMS-BPT, EtQ and Microsoft Office application is required. 

    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret publications and regulations.  Ability to write complex reports, correspondence, speeches, and articles for publication.  Ability to analyze data and report on metrics.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, clients, customers, public groups, and various functions of the company.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences or other directly related field or degree with comparable coursework in the above areas and a zero (0) to two (2) years of industry experience.

    • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

    Additional Information

    Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Columbia, MO are encouraged to apply.
