Reports To: Vice President, Group Account Director or VP Account Director
Profile: The account management team is the nucleus of the Agency (and is positioned this way to the rest of the Agency). It functions as the hub of the Agency projects and is the liaison between the Agency and the Client.
The Account Executive
Supports the Account Supervisor(s) with the priority on C&P projects; lower priority for support on media, analytics and other agency functions and only if C&P workload allows time
Works with the Account Management team and other teams to communicate the Client’s needs clearly to the Agency team and coordinate the Agency’s recommendations to the Client.
Has basic project management skills and understanding of how things work in an Agency and develops knowledge of the Client’s business, the consumer, the marketplace and advertising.
Works with people internally and externally to get things done, able to compromise when necessary and to provide creative solutions.
Two to five years marketing or advertising industry experience.
BA in marketing or relevant field is required.
Ability to work flexible schedule/hours as needed and travel based upon company needs.
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet.
Manage and document C&P projects
Provide strategic, tactical advice
Responsive client service
Key liaison between client, agency staff
Acts as a primary day-to-day contact for assigned Clients, supports Account Supervisors in their day-to-day contact with clients, with the priority on C&P projects
Documents client deliverables, activity and feedback to the Hawthorne Leadership and other teams and writes conference reports to Clients within one business day for all Client conference calls, emails, communications and meetings attended.
At the direction of Account Supervisor, helps with the new client onboarding process in these areas:
Scope(s) of work development and review
Keeping track of adherence to Hawthorne onboarding checklist
Ensures Client needs are being met by all respective agency personnel working on the Client’s business to meet deliverables on behalf of Client. Answers questions and resolves problems in a timely manner, and exceeds Client expectations by delivering materials as required by Client and with the collaboration of Account Director and respective Account Supervisors.
Coordinates all Creative & Production deliverables.
Coordinates and takes notes for Client status and internal meetings.
Coordinates with the Project Manager to develop project timelines.
Keeps the Client and Agency on task and on schedule.
Comprehend and communicate Client needs to Agency staff members.
Coordinates internal and Client communications on active projects.
Participates in and arranges logistics for Client conference calls, meetings, shoots.
Participates in all Client quarterly, annual and wrap-up campaign overviews.
Keeps all departments informed and updated on all relevant Client activity.
Develops internal relationships:
with Account Teams;
with Creative and Production teams
with Media Planners, Business Intelligence and Data Science teams
Updates server folders and files with created documents related to Clients’ activities.
Creates weekly audits of Client folders.
Assist, as needed, with industry research projects and coordinates with research team on Client-research deliverables.
Requests, processes and reconciles C&P and Fee invoices as directed by Account Supervisors.
Assists Account Supervisors and Account Directors with creative solutions to internal and Client issues.
