Industrial Equipment Mechanic -- Arcadia, LA
The Maintenance Trades Specialist is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of machinery and mechanical equipment. This includes performing preventive maintenance tasks on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Electrical Drawings and BoM, as well as operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. They should possess the ability to troubleshoot malfunctions and identify sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and listening for any issues. Precision measuring and testing instruments are utilized to aid in this process. Defective parts are removed by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools. The candidate must also examine the form and texture of parts and determine changes in dimensional requirements by inspecting used parts using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Moreover, the Trades Specialist adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.

Must hold a valid driver’s license.
Must be available for overtime, holiday work, rotating schedules, and shifts.
Must possess at least three (3) years of relevant maintenance mechanical experience. The hiring manager may consider a combination of education and experience.
Must be proficient in operating various material handling equipment such as floor controlled or overhead cranes, prime movers, work savers, and fork lift trucks.
