JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a Santa Monica based educational services company working one-on-one with students of all ages and learning profiles. We are currently seeking educational therapists and reading & math specialists who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and available for in-home student sessions this school year. We are also hiring virtual educational specialists and educational therapists to host online sessions.

The work is often a combination of remedial programming and educational support within the framework of the student's actual schoolwork. Executive function skill building and study skills/organization are frequently needed.

EDUCATIONAL SPECIALISTS

Educational specialists must have formal training in remedial programs, and be able to develop customized lesson plans to address learning challenges in reading, writing and math based on various assessments and diagnostic tools. Executive functioning skill-building and study skills/organization are frequently needed. We are looking for educational specialists that can commit to any given student for the duration of the school year.

We are seeking educators for in-home sessions in:

• GREATER LOS ANGELES AREA, ESPECIALLY THE WESTSIDE: Santa Monica, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Bel-Air, Westwood, West Los Angeles, Mar Vista/Palms, Culver City, Venice, Marina del Rey, Westchester, Beverly Hills, Miracle Mile, Hancock Park, Silver Lake, Los Feliz
• SAN FERNANDO VALLEY AND SAN GABRIEL VALLEY AREAS: Pasadena, Altadena, Sierra Madre, San Marino, Burbank, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Tarzana, Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, Oak Park, Calabasas, and Hidden Hills

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Special Education, Educational Therapy or related field
• Educational Therapists must be AET certified
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience required
• Available afternoons, evenings and/or weekends for at least 5 hours per week
• Must be vaccinated against COVID-19
• Must be willing to work with students in-person
• Must have reliable transportation

SALARY: Starting at $50/hour for ed. specialists and $70 per hour for ed. therapists; all rates commensurate with experience.
