Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and dependable Head Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and efficiency, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook and plate food according to kitchen specifications
Assist with prep work, line duties and plating during service
Manage and supervise kitchen operations
Supervise and coordinate all food preparation and presentation and assist with coordinating daily kitchen operations
Provide training and leadership for kitchen staff
Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and prepare orders to be placed with food vendors
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen
Support kitchen operations by assisting other team members as needed
Follow all food safety rules and regulations (e.g., proper food storage, labeling, etc.)
Qualifications:
Extensive previous culinary/kitchen experience
Understanding of kitchen tools and techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and thrive under pressure
Strong management and leadership skills and experience managing shifts or training cooks
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
