    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled and reliable high energy Head Chef capable of running a full-service kitchen who will help elevate and separate our food and dining experience from all other entertainment centers.

    Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, supporting and directing the cooks and dishwasher, managing expo, producing high quality food to spec with decent ticket times, ensuring the kitchen meets health and safety standards, time and temp logs, inventory and ordering. You will also be in control of managing food waste/labor costs.

    Key Responsibilities

    🍽️ Culinary Operations

    Prepare and cook menu items to Kidlavie standards

    Maintain food quality, taste consistency, and presentation

    Ensure proper portioning and recipe execution

    Oversee food prep, storage, and labeling

    Manage kitchen opening & closing procedures

    Maintain inventory levels and inform management of needs

    Kitchen Safety & Cleanliness

    Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen

    Ensure compliance with local health codes and DOH standards

    Follow safe food handling, temperature logs, and storage rules

    Monitor equipment and coordinate repairs when needed

    Enforce daily cleaning checklists for all kitchen stations

    Team Collaboration

    Work closely with the Restaurant & Park Manager

    Supervise line cooks, prep cooks, and kitchen assistants

    Train new staff on recipes, standards, and safety

    Maintain positive, efficient communication with front-of-house staff

    Support a friendly, family-oriented environment in the restaurant

    Customer Experience Support

    Ensure food is served fresh, accurate, and on time

    Assist with high-volume periods and party orders

    Support special menu items for holidays, events, or parties

    Requirements

    Proven experience as a Chef, Line Cook, or Kitchen Lead

    Strong culinary knowledge and cooking techniques

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    Understanding of kitchen safety and food sanitation

    Excellent time management and organization

    Must be available on weekends

    Preferred Qualifications

    Servsafe Food Handler or Food Manager certification (preferred)

    Experience in family dining, quick service, or cafe-style kitchens

    Ability to support menu development
