Mayo Garden Centers is a family owned and operated business that was founded in 1878. Plant knowledge is extremely important to our business. Applicant must be friendly and outgoing to interact with customers and knowledgeable about plants trees and shrubs. The ability to identify plants and recommend care solutions is a must. Applicants must also be able to care for the plants in our inventory and will be responsible for watering. This is a full time hourly position that is eligible to earn monthly commissions. Pay is based upon experience

Requirements: Familiarity of plant tree and shrub variatals Knowledge relating to fertilizers and insecticides

General plant care

Daily watering Assist customers in locating merchandise Clean front end of store and help setup displays when necessary Work Saturdays and some Sundays

· Health Insurance, Life Insurance and Dental Insurance are available to all full time employees. Mayo's pays half of the cost for the employee and any family members on the plan. Employees also accrue sick pay each week that can be used if the employee is too sick to come to work.

· Mayo's pays for vacation time based upon hours worked and length of employment.

Very few Sundays are required (Mayo's is closed on Sundays except for April, May and December) and no evenings.

Applicants will have a set schedule from week to week with their day off being the same each week.
