Head Golf Camp Coach
Location: Brookview Golf Course and other designated locations
Position Summary: The Head Golf Camp Coach supports the Lead Golf Camp Coach in delivering high-quality full-day and half-day junior golf camps throughout the summer. This role focuses on direct coaching, group management, and creating a fun, structured, and positive environment for all campers.
This position is ideal for someone with coaching experience who enjoys working with kids, values teamwork, and wants to grow into leadership within junior golf programming. We are looking for a coach who can be a consistent presence for our campers and team and serve as a reliable staple throughout the summer season.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in daily execution of full-day and half-day golf camps under the direction of the Lead Coach
Coach assigned groups of campers, focusing on skill development, sportsmanship, and enjoyment
Support setup, breakdown, transitions, and overall camp flow
Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment
Communicate clearly and professionally with campers, parents, and fellow coaches
Help manage equipment, stations, and activities
Model TGA coaching standards, energy, and professionalism
Provide feedback to the Lead Coach regarding camper needs or concerns
Assist with group management and problem-solving as needed
Availability Expectations:
Primary season runs June 8 – August 28
Coaches should be available for the majority of the summer season
We understand summer plans happen. Scheduled time off is allowed but should generally be limited to one full week plus a few individual days across the season
We are prioritizing candidates who can commit to being present consistently and serving as a dependable leader for campers and fellow coaches
Required Qualifications:
Prior experience coaching children (golf or other sports preferred)
Solid golf knowledge and ability to demonstrate fundamentals
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage groups of children in a structured setting
Dependable, punctual, and professional
Team-oriented and coachable
Positive attitude and enthusiasm working with kids
Compensation: $23–$28 per hour, based on experience
Hours: Monday–Thursday, typically between 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Friday availability is strongly preferred, as we now offer optional full-week camp sessions and are seeing increased demand. Additional hours may be available through evening or weekend programs.
